Exhibition - Oslo


The photo exhibition “The First Subterraneans” celebrates Mardou&Dean's Spring/Summer 2013 runway show through the lens of iconic rock photographer Stian Andersen.

“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”

Quotes from Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road”, photos by Stian Andersen and clothes by Mardou&Dean resulting in an exhibition capturing the atmosphere and special moments of the SS13 runway show of Mardou&Dean as well as the brands origin that takes inspiration from Beatnik culture and literature.

The vernissage of “The First Subterraneans” took place at the Mardou&Dean Concept Store in Oslo on 19 April 2013. Music by Michelii, drinks by Bacardi-Martini and Voss, photos by Stian Andersen and the runway Autumn/Winter 2013 film by Fredric Posé created an event that combined Rock and Fashion and celebrated the co-operation between the rock photographer Stian Andersen and the fashion label Mardou&Dean with a big crowd. 

The exhibition is open to the public from 20 April until 17 May 2013: Mardou&Dean Concept Store, Sorgenfrigaten 17, 0365 Oslo.
