PR and Sales Intern at Mardou&Dean in Oslo

Mardou&Dean was founded in 2006 by Ingrid Bredholt and Patrik Rosenfors. The idea behind Mardou&Dean is to design a wardrobe of unique, tailored pieces of the finest fabrics and leathers as well as simple everyday wear like t-shirts and jeans. Inspired by Beatnik culture and literature, constant motion and emotion is central to the marketing philosophy. With fit and quality in focus, the thin, sharp silhouette is a trademark of Mardou&Dean clothing. The cut is edgy but simple and the look crisp, but easy.

Mardou&Dean is looking for a PR and sales intern who would like to be involved in our sales and PR activities, either on a part-time or full-time basis, for about 6 months. Starting date would be 8. August 2013.

As our PR and sales intern you are involved in the following tasks:

-Preparing and assisting in sales meetings
-Handling sales logistics
-Regular show room activity on a daily basis, incl. handling practical tasks for the international press
-Preparing events such as press days
-Research tasks
-Assisting with press clippings for press reports
-Preparing sales newsletters as well as PR newsletters

We can offer a nice and dynamic working environment in the center of West Oslo with people who are highly motivated and dedicated to what they do. You will be part of this team and will get all support and supervision that you need to succeed in this internship. This internship is unpaid. You are a team-player, who is also able to work independently, with a relevant academic background, preferably within marketing, sales, PR or business administration, maybe even with relevant working experience. You are either a graduate looking for a sales and PR experience in the fashion industry or on your last steps of your studies. You like to be surrounded by people and have good organizational as well as quick learning and analytical skills.

Mardou&Dean teams up with Sebastian Professional

Sebastian Professional is the official hair sponsor of Mardou&Dean's Runway shows. The successful AW 2013 runway show held in Jakob Church, Oslo, marks the beginning of the cooperation between the two labels. 

The overall beauty concept was to create a cool, boyish look for the girls and a manly relaxed look for the guys. The corresponding styles were created by Sebastian Professional in collaboration with Ingrid Bredholt, head designer of Mardou&Dean. Bredholt says she wanted to express an unpolished beauty. The result was a modern, enviable, effortless look.

The models own hair texture was kept and a center part was made on most of them. After spraying the entire hair with Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray the hair was left to air dry to obtain a right-out-of-the-shower look dried in the winter air. The natural loose hair texture was enhanced by using Sebastian Professional Craft Clay. The hair ends were moistened and Sebastian Professional Shine Crafter Wax was added to create wet, frozen looking ends.

Mardou&Dean: Citroën Design5

Mardou&Dean is asked to join Citroën's Design Competition. A total of 10 designers in Norway and Denmark will be designing an outfit each for the new Citroën DS5. A jury will announce the winner 17th of April. You can follow our work in progress at the Citroën Blog
